Designer's Tips

Glass is a very flexible product and it can be made in almost any colour. Why not link your glass to another item in the room by having it colour matched as we did with this painted feature wall.

To create a light, bright atmosphere gloss white cabinetry is hard to beat. In this design it has been combined with black quartz worktops and a charcoal grey floor for a stunning contrast.

Design Brief

The customer was restricted by a small, dark kitchen that had very little storage or useable worktop space. So we claimed the adjoining dining and utility rooms by removing two walls to create a large kitchen. A new utility room was then created in the back of the garage and the dining table moved into the conservatory. The new kitchen had to feel spacious and correct all of the faults of the previous layout. A gloss white slab door was chosen to create a light, bright feeling and the glitterstone worktops and charcoal grey floor provided a nice contrast. Generous storage space was further enhanced with the addition of several pull-out mechanisms. Large expanses of worksurface were created to provide ample preparation areas and a small seating area was integrated in the penninsula unit to make the kitchen a real family area.
