Recent Project

Originally two rooms, this large open plan kitchen diner was created by removing a dividing wall. A window was removed and replaced with French doors to allow in more light and direct access to the garden. The new layout made an existing doorway redundant and so it was removed to create a solid corner for the dining area. The new kitchen was designed to provide the clients with more storage, more useable worktop area and better accessability. An area was designed in the centre of the room with a large breakfast bar and wall mounted TV, perfect for social and family gatherings. As part of the project we re-wired the room, installed new LED lighting, completely re-plastered, planned and installed new radiators and layed a new Karndean floor. The cool grey theme was implemented throughout with warmer tones introduced on the tall appliance housings and the wood effect floor.

Design Brief

Designer's Tip

Necessary structural beams and supporting columns can often create unsightly obtrusions in a room. On this project we designed a wide vertical column and an adjoined lowered ceiling section to disguise these items. We softened the area with feature lighting and a wall mounted TV.
