Designer's Tips

Lift-up wall units maintain the linear design of a contemporary kitchen and come in either single or double door versions.

Combining LED strip lighting with the Remo door creates a stunning effect by illuminating the scalloped handles directly under the worksurface.

Design Brief

The client wanted us to create a contemporary kitchen that had a bright feel and clean lines. Our Remo White handle less door was selected to fulfil these criteria due to its minimalist design and fresh appearance. To begin a small wall and doorway was removed between the kitchen and utility which opened up the room, allowing light to flood in. Large gloss white floor tiles were layed in the kitchen, hallway and dining room and instantly lifted the rooms by reflecting light. The new space allowed us to develop a long, linear kitchen culminating in a shapely breakfast bar. The opposite side of the kitchen was designated to cooking with an oven tower and large gas hob providing the homeowner with ample capacity. Large drawers provided convienient storage for plates, pots and pans, whilst hidden internal drawers housed cutlrey and utensils. Glass lift-up wall cupboards made features either side of the sink and offered another opportunity to add lighting. Combining HD LED worktop lighting with the Remo's 'J' groove door handle created a stunning effect that really set the kitchen off.
