Designer's Tips
Freestanding microwaves can occupy large, important areas of worksurface. If this is an issue then you should consider an integrated model that can be mounted neatly into a wall unit.
Â
Unsure about a feature colour for your glass splashback? Why not have clear glass like this customer, which allows the colour of the painted wall behind to show through. The glass can easily be removed to repaint, so you never have to tire of a bold colour choice.

Due to the size and shape of this room the footprint of the kitchen couldn't change too drastically. However we were able to introduce many modern day ideas to improve the look and performance for the client. The first challenge was to provide the customer with ample storage and worktop space. We maximised the accessible cupboard space by installing LeMans corner pull-outs and re-organising the size and position of cupboards. An existing freestanding microwave was replaced with an integrated wall mounted model which freed up valuable worktop space. Curved units softened the walkways, whilst adding shape to the design. A four place breakfast bar allowed the extended family to congregate in a pleasant environment. The Alabaster units were chosen to maintain a light, bright feel to the room and are complimented by the warm brown tones of the Samsung Quartz worktops.
