This beautiful 1909 kitchen was designed with a huge central island unit measuring 3.7m long! Despite the large room there was very little useable wall space and so the island had to serve many functions. As well as providing much needed storage and preparation space the island also contained the sink, dishwasher and a breakfast bar for six people. Furniture was designed to create a feature around the Aga and a bank of tall housings accommodated a fridge freezer, microwave and larder cupboard.
