Designer's Tips
In a narrow kitchen there could be a tendency for the room to feel like a corridor, however by incorporating curved cabinetry and worksurfaces this adds design interest and also helps to improve the access where walkways are restricted.

This kitchen is at the centre of the family life so it had to offer a practical solution for the many activities that take place there. The room had an awkward shape, narrow in places with alcoves so a challenge was ensuring a flow to the design. Therefore the use of curves to soften off the large penninsular unit helped to link several areas together and improved the narrow walkways. An added complication was the large amount of appliances required in such a small space. The customer required a induction hob, double oven, extractor hood, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine plus a pull out larder.
